In Loving Memory

Walters Lessor, Sheila Eloise

Sheila Eloise Lessor Walters, nee Barry, 83 passed away peacefully, in her sleep, October 22, 2022 at her home in St. Louis County.  

 Sheila was born on July 26, 1939 to Walter and Ann Barry in South St. Louis. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1957.  

 In 1960, she married Clint Lessor; together they had three children, Laura, Linda, and Ross.  Clint passed away in 1988; Sheila married Vern Walters in 1995. 

 Sheila loved to water ski, swim, travel, be with family, watch classic movies and TV series, she loved to read until her eyesight failed. Sheila was involved with Mother’s Club, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts. She belonged to a Bible club with her closest friends, and was a member of St Luke’s United  Methodist Church.  Sheila loved her pets and everyone else’s pet too! 

 Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ann Barry, and her late husband, Clint Lessor and step granddaughter Kayla Walters. She is survived by her beloved husband, George Vernon Walters; dear children, Laura Yount, nee Lessor, Linda Pahl, nee Lessor, Ross Lessor; their spouses, Ken (Yount), Larry (Pahl), and Kim (Bond); beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Brian, Marissa, and Brett; stepchildren David, Eric, Craig, Becky; step grandchildren Autumn, Ty, Phoebe, Daniel, Kiwamu, Patrick, Jonathan, and Anne-Marie; and many treasured friends. 

Visitation will be held at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road 63123) on Wednesday, from  4:00-8:00 PM A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (2761 Telegraph Road Oakville, MO 63125) on Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m.  Gravesite burial at Sunset Memorial Park (10180 Gravois Road St. Louis, MO 63123).

The United Methodist Church will host a luncheon immediately following the burial.
