Waser, Clarence J.

October 6, 1922 – January 13, 2017 Clarence J. Waser of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 94. Cherished husband of 64 years to Betty (nee Smith) Waser; dear son of the late Joseph and Lydia (nee Grebing) Waser; brother of the late Ralph (Lou) Waser and Dorothea Roeh; beloved father of Daniel (Kathy) Waser, Diane (Dan) Leigh and Ronald (Sierra) Waser; loving grandfather of Jacob (Rachel) Waser, Jessica (Chris) Rutledge, Amy (Ben) Menke, Todd Waser, Greg Leigh, Amanda (Tim) Collico, Victoria Waser, Stephanie Waser and Elizabeth Waser; loving great-grandfather of Joaquin and Camilla Waser; Payton, Austin and Lucas Rutledge; and Harper and Max Menke.

As a WWII veteran, Clarence served our country as a Gunner’s Mate Second Class in the US Navy aboard the auxiliary repair drydock USS ARD-7. After the war, he worked as an outstanding Tool and Die Maker for 44 years in the St. Louis area.  He was an exceptional wood worker with a keen eye for detail.  He was famous for fixing any problem, so if something was broken, he would fix it.

Visitation: Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, Tuesday, January 17, 2017, 3 – 8 pm   Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 18, 2017 – 10 am at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 5252 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63126. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11 am.
