Wideman, Donna Lynn

September 30, 1960 - February 26, 2026

Donna Lynn (nee: Politte) Wideman age 65 of Barnhart died February 26, 2026.  She was born September 30, 1960 in Crystal City to the late Eugene L. and Donna R. (nee: Stout) Politte.  She found joy in life’s simple beautiful moments.  She loved tending her garden, baking treats for those she loved and crocheting homemade gift that will be cherished for years to come.  She delighted in sharing stories from her childhood with anyone who would listen keeping family history and laughter alive.  Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family and stargazing beside her beloved late husband Dennis E. Wideman.

She is survived by her son Roger Duncan of Barnhart and daughter Rebecca (David) Ortmann of Troy, MO, granchild Devin (Leann) White, Blake (Paige) Duncan, Haley White, Dakota White, Summer (Jacob) Smith, Gerald (Kera) White, Alexis Duncan, Tyler White.  Great Granddaughters Frejya, Adelynn, Kinzley White, one great grandson due in June Miles Duncan.  Her aunt Lavanda Morick of Union, uncle Jimmy Stout of Michigan, brothers Leonard (Sharon) Politte, Rick (Jeanie) Politte, Charles Politte, sisters Ann Christopher, Linda (Politte) Moon, sister-in-law Lynn Politte.  Her fur baby Gus.  And two close friends Alyssa Yancey and Laura Fisher and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Ron Politte, sister Carol (Politte) Duncan, Rose Marie Politte, nephews Larry and Ronnie Politte.  Donna will be missed by many family and friends.

Services:  Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Thursday, March 5, 2026, 11am.  Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery.  Visitation Wednesday 5-8pm.

  1. I worked with Donna for years. She was always kind and thoughtful. Life did present her with a lot of challenges but Donna always met each one the best that she could. She was just a very good person and a dear friend I will miss. I pray for everlasting life for Donna with our Lord where she will be met by all her family that have passed before her. A place where there is no more pain or suffering. A place where she will test in peace.

  2. My aunt Donna was always there for everyone! She seemed to help out those less fortunate! she loved her family and just wanted everyone to get along! She will surely be missed by many!
