In Loving Memory

Marvin, Charles Ronald

On Sunday,  September 11, 2022. He leaves behind the love of his life Judith Marvin (nee Winterhoff) of 55 years, loving father to Samantha (Michael) Scego, Jay (Elizabeth Dodd) Marvin, doting and loving grandfather to Sofia and Annabel Scego and Blake and Bradley Dodd. Loving brother to Darlene Stromsdorfer (Ernst), brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
After serving in the Army Intelligence Unit, and working in sales for the Varityper Corporation, he found his true calling as a policeman.
Charles was a sergeant with the St. Louis City Metropolitan Police Department for 36 years. He received many commendations and awards throughout the years. After retirement he worked for St. Louis Regional Crimestoppers for 10 years and was affectionately known as “Mr. Saturday Night”. He also worked for the Lakeshire Police Department for 12 years until finally retiring. He loved protecting and serving the citizens. Mr. Marvin was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church having served on various boards over the years.
Service: Visitation at Kutis South County Funeral Home, (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Monday September 19th From 4-8PM. Then to Epiphany Lutheran Church, 4045 Holly Hills Boulevard, St. Louis, MO on Tuesday September 20 from 9AM until service at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Backstoppers, Humane Society of Missouri, or Stray Rescue would be appreciated.  Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery following service.
