Lewis, Brian E.

Brian Lewis passed away in his home on July 12, 2023, in Oakville, MO at the age of 70.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Kay Lewis (Klein), sons Matthew (Angela) Lewis and Scott Lewis, brother Gregory Lewis, and grandson Jack Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Marie Lewis of Kankakee, IL.

Brian was born on October 4, 1952, in Danville, IL. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1975 with a degree in Zoology. He married Angela Lewis, his college sweetheart in 1975. After moving to Belleville, IL he began working as a quality control manager.

He loved animals and supported the Humane Society. His children remember him as a kind and selfless father who supported them in seeking their passions. He dedicated himself to his family and most looked forward to their annual Disney adventures.

The funeral is scheduled for Monday, July 17 at 10 AM at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry). Internment at Sunset Memorial Park to follow. Visitation on Sunday, July 16 from 4 to 7 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brian’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society appreciated.

  1. Brian was my Brother-Law. He was a kind person who would do anything for you. I remember I as well as our parents liking him as soon as we met him.
    We will miss him terribly!

    We did a family road trip with greg, marie and gramma leaver in Marie’s red station wagon in the early 1960s. Good times were had
