Doering, Kenneth William

September 2, 1940 - April 14, 2025

Kenneth William Doering, 84, of South St. Louis County, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025.

Born on September 2, 1940, Ken lived a full and meaningful life, defined by dedication to his family, profession, and community. For the past seven years, he made his home at Friendship Village in South St. Louis County, where he enjoyed the company of friends and family.

Ken served the community as a pharmacist in St. Louis County and Jefferson County for over 50 years and was the proud owner of a Medicine Shoppe in Festus, Missouri. He was deeply committed to his work and took pride in providing care and service to his customers.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ken especially loved following college and professional sports, and he remained a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals throughout his life.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carol Ann Doering (née Rowbottom); his children, Janine (John), David (Sherry), Diana (Kevin), and Daniel (Julie); and ten cherished grandchildren: Lexi, Austin, Nathan, Christopher, Caden, Anna, Violet, Jakob, Adelene, and Adam.

A memorial service celebrating Ken’s life will be held on  Monday, April 21st at 12:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church on Barracksview in Lemay with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and remember a kind, humble man who brought warmth and dedication to every life he touched.
