James Charles Sondermann, age 69, of St. Louis, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. Sondermann, Sr. and Teresa Sondermann (née Sweeney), his beloved wife, Colleen Sondermann (née McCaffrey), and his brother Thomas Sondermann.
James is survived by his devoted children, Christina Sondermann Capizzi, James R. Sondermann, and Stephen I. Sondermann; his seven cherished grandchildren; and his loving companion, Sandy Vest. He will also be fondly remembered as a beloved father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend.
SERVICES: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Saturday, January 3, 9:15 AM to St. Gabriel the Archangel for 10:00 AM Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).
