In Loving Memory

Bernhardt, Sarah Ann

March 25, 1958 - March 16, 2026

Sarah Ann Bernhardt, born March 25, 1958, in Columbia, Missouri, entered into rest on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ross and Margaret Ann (nee Duffner) Bernhardt, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Charles Bernhardt and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duffner.

Sarah was the loving wife of Martin Isaacs for 24 years and a devoted mother to Shelton (Kayla Simmons) Sapp and Will (Jamie Carrigan) Sapp. She was a cherished grandmother to Landen, Layla, Nevaeh, Gracie, and Mack Sapp. Sarah is survived by her sisters Linda (Tom) Baygents, Lisa (Chuck) Moses, and Susan (Dave Bell) Corey, and by many beloved aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She also adored her dogs, Bella and Trevor.

She loved to read, travel, and spend time with her grandkids boating and jet skiing at their cabin on the Lake of the Ozarks.

A compassionate Registered Nurse, Sarah served patients at Mercy-South (formerly St. Anthony) Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital, bringing kindness and calm to those in her care. Warm, generous, and devoted to family, she leaves behind a legacy of love and gentle service.

Services: A memorial visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, on Saturday, March 28, from 1:00–4:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. With open hearts, we invite all who knew Sarah to gather and celebrate her life.

  6. Sarah was always beautiful, sweet and quiet. I watched her grow up as her family of four beautiful sisters lived a few houses from ours. I’m sure she was an excellent nurse with her caring ways.
I’m very sad as are my two children.
We are sending our deepest sympathy to her family and all who loved Sarah.
