Blanchford, James “Jim”

James (Jim) Blanchford of St. Louis, MO, born October 1946 in Springfield, OH, Passed away peacefully June 28, 2023.

 

Jim is survived by his children, Janet Williams (Tim Boyle), JoAnn Williams, and Christopher Williams. He Is also survived by several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.  Jim is pre-deceased by his wife Mary, daughter Laura Springman and his Mother Nancy Baker.

 

Born to Nancy Baker of Dayton Ohio, Jim was a straight A student who read Latin and had a lifelong love of libraries. He left home at an early age traveling from town to town as a migrant farm worker.

 

Jim retired after a career as a supervisor for the U.S. Post Office.

He was a proud Vietnam War veteran serving as a member of the Air Force. After his service to the nation he found work in Sales and Management positions which led to his employment with Napa Auto Parts where he met Mary, the love of his life.

 

In their free time Jim and Mary enjoyed time spent with family, watching Cardinals’ baseball and vacations to Las Vegas.

 

 

Funeral Services will be private.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date, Family and Friends will be notified.
