Burgess, Ronald R. Sr.

September 22, 1953 - January 24, 2024

of Cedar Hill, Mo, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024.  Ron was born to Marion and Mary Burgess on September 22, 1953, in St Louis, Mo.

Ron is survived by his children Ron (Misty) Burgess Jr., Debra (Mehdi) Zahmatkesh and Robert (Derick) Burgess. Ron is fondly known as Poppy/Grandpa to his 7 Grandchildren (Chris (Danielle), Greg, Ali (Justin), Mekenzie (Andrew), Cadence (Ethan), Elise and Cyrus, and his 4 Great-Grandchildren (Castiel, Jenson, Amara and Kamryn).  Ron is also survived by his brother Marty.

Ron fought his battle with MS for nearly 25 long years.  Throughout that journey he never gave up.

SERVICES:  Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Saturday, January 27, 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Cardinals gear is encouraged as he loved the team and the game.

  1. This is never easy. The saying “ rest in peace” means so much more when you are acquainted with Bible truths. Ron had that comforting hope . May you draw comfort from knowing that. Imagine a world without MS-Revelation 21: 3,4. It is God’s promise to us.
