In Loving Memory

Carroll, Jeanne Marie “Jeannie”

February 10, 1963 - March 14, 2025

Jeanne Marie “Jeannie” Carroll passed away on March 14, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 62.

Jeanne was born on February 10, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri, where she spent her life surrounded by family and friends. A graduate from St. Joseph’s Institute for Deaf, she went on to make her way in a hearing world. She faced many struggles but always embraced life with a carefree spirit that remained steadfast despite those challenges. She was determined and direct but always brought a smile to your face. The joy of her life was her son James (JJ).

She had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping and archery. She loved feeding and watching the birds and wildlife around her home.  Jeanne was also an avid fan of Cardinal baseball, cheering on her team with enthusiasm throughout the years.

Jeanne is survived by her son, James E. Jackson Jr. (“JJ”); her brothers, Stephen Carroll and Brian Carroll; and her sisters, Ann Carroll (Roseberry) and Ellen Carroll (Spindler). She was preceded in death by her partner James E Jackson Sr. and her parents, John and Mary Ann Carroll.

SERVICES:  A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on May 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, located at 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63123.

  4. Ah, Jeannie, my sweet little angel. I remember you so well. The little sister of my childhood best friend, Ann. I loved you and your entire family and always will. Life is a struggle for me, too, as the mother of a disabled adult son. I’m so proud to learn that you were a Mom yourself! Rest in Peace, dear Jeannie. I always felt you were in my life in part to help prepare me for my own journey ahead. Love and sympathy to the Carroll family on your loss. Ann, I’ll be in touch soon.
