   passed on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Beloved husband of Barbara Crook (nee Shinkle) of 55 years; dearest father of Tim (Jeanne) and Jeff Crook; dear grandfather of Kaitlyn and Chloe Crook; brother of Carolyn (the late Cleveland) Smith; brother-in-law of Jim (Debbie Cambre) Shinkle and Jeanne (the late Darrel) Johnston; our dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Willis was a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer and a Medal of Valor Recipient. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Service Wednesday, March 24, 11:00 a.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Backstoppers, Inc.  Visitation Tuesday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

  7. Willie was an awesome part of my extended family and one of the influences on me getting into law enforcement. I always loved talking shop when I got a chance to visit, especially hearing his crazy stories. I’ll miss you. My love and prayers to Bonnie and the family.

  9. I had the pleasure of working with Willis when he and I were assigned to the Third Police District. Although we never rode together, we were on the same shift so I spoke with him often. Willis could always make you smile or laugh, and he was always there if you needed assistance on a call. Great memories. Blessings to Willis and the Crook family.
