  11. To Donna’s loving family, I send my deepest condolences at this difficult time. I’ve known and was dear friends with Donna and Joe since their days teaching in Cedar Rapids. Through multiple organizations we all worked in together, and some we started, I learned to so value their enduring friendship, wisdom and great positive spirit of fun, kindness and social service and action. You girls and her grandsons have been left with a wonderfully positive legacy to live up to — and from what Donna has told me when we talked just last month in March 2021 — you’re doing a wonderful job in doing so. Keep up living achieving your high ideals in memory of your Mom and Dad. That’s the biggest blessing and best thank you for all the strong values they have demonstrated. Hugs!
