Beloved husband of JoEllen Ewing (nee Hunter).  Dear father of Kim (Lawrence) Kier, William (Felicia) Ewing, Bob (Jessica) Ewing and Karen (Michael) Kaelin.  Dear grandfather of Kaitlin (Chris), Felicia (Marcia), Aimee (Gabriel), Justin (Deshawna), Bre Anne (Liam), Legacy, Tyler, Samantha, Grace and Sarah.  Dear great grandfather of Isabella and Parker.  Dear brother of Deanna (the late George) Klevorn, Dean (Marilyn) Ewing, Dennis (Fran) Ewing and the late Christine (surviving Dave) Bretz.  Our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

SERVICES:  Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) Monday, September 29, 9:15 a.m. to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Mr. Ewing was a member of St. Stephen Protomartyr Hardly Able Crew at St. John the Baptist, St. John the Baptist Men’s Club and the choir.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the EOD Warrior Foundation.  Visitation Sunday 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

    So sorry for your loss. Mike was one of a kind. Always had a smile and never complained. He stayed strong until the very end. Above all, he loved his family and church. He will be greatly missed. He is now at peace. God Bless you all.

  4. Jody, so sorry to hear this news. You and Mike were blessed with many years together and a beautiful family. May you remember all the good times. I pray the good Lord provides comfort to you and your family in the days, months, and years ahead. May Mike rest in peace. He’s in God’s hands now…the best place to be.

  5. Jody — We are so sorry for your loss. In the relatively short time we have known you and Mike through the choir, we came to appreciate what a wonderful man he was. We will never forget that great smile and chuckle he always had. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

  7. I really didn’t interact with Mike in school, but I knew he was a very nice guy. I got to know him from his Facebook post about the things he loved: God, his wife, kids and grandkids.
    Rest in peace, Mike, and let perpetual light shine upon you!

  11. Having grown up in the neighborhood, attending Holy Family school & Church, later SJHS with Christine, knew all the Ewings.
    Eternal rest grant unto Mike, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon Mike.. May Mike’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.🙏
    For the family, may you be comforted iknowing that Mike’s spirit lives on.
