Fogt, Edelgard “Hilda”

Edelgard “Hilda” Fogt (nee Hoeffgen), 90, a resident of St. Louis for more than 66 years, passed away Feb. 26, 2022, at Bethesda Southgate. Born and raised in Mettmann, Germany, she met her husband August “Gus” Fogt at her hometown’s 1050th birthday celebration. They married in 1955 and immigrated to St. Louis in 1956 to begin their new lives. She created warm and welcoming homes in two residences in Tower Grove Park where Gus was the landscape foreman. She is survived by her loving children Annette Crawford, and Norman (Alisa) Fogt; loving Oma of Joshua (Samantha) Crawford, Sarah Crawford, Justin (Cherish) Fogt, and Jessica (Mark) Miller; proud great-Oma of Evan Fogt and Alayna Miller; dear friend and Oma to many children whose lives she touched over the years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1992, and by her youngest son, Roland, in 2019.

Services;; Visitation at Kutis So Co on Tue 3/1 from 4-8PM. Family meeting at Kutis 9:45AM for a procession to Bellefontaine Cemetery.
