    You have only been gone for one minute…
    Already feels like an eternity. You lived larger than life with a HUGE personality and had the strength of a million men with the wind at their back…. Truly one of the strongest men there has been, probably the strongest many of us will never know. You came to our rescue often before we even knew we needed help. You had everybody’s back and never left anyone behind in your life. I can say that you INFLUENCED and HELPED us all to be the best versions of ourselves we could be…. even when things got tough you were ALWAYS tougher. We are all better people because you were in our life. I was a hyperactive punk rock brat with make up piercings and dyed hair….. I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY GRAY HAIR I CAUSED YOU (I was a pain in the ass… its OK I know I was! Mom died so young you had to keep me going all on your own. Thank You for being my Dad Mom AND FATHER….. I

    Tell Mom that I LOVE HER AND MISS HER AND DAREN AND I SEE HER IN OUR LIVES EVERY DAY! I love you Mom and Dad. We will see you both again many many years from now. We love you….. be patient you both left big shoes for us to try to fill! Don’t laugh if I get tripped up once in a while. ❤

  3. The most wonderful, loving, caring Gentleman I had the pleasure to come into my life. Andre was a force of nature who lived his life wanting to explore everything, which he did. He could make me laugh no matter how jaded I viewed the world at times. They say you only have one true love in your lifetime.
    Rest in heaven and we will again meet up. Perhaps I will visit Paris one day.

  7. I have known Andre since grade school. As I would walk home for lunch each school day from Our Lady of Sorrows, his mother would always greet me as she waited on their front porch for Andre & his brother to arrive home. She adored them! They were a special family, & now my heart goes out to your entire family as you try cope with his passing. Andre was one of a kind, & I know it will be a terrible loss to you & to everyone that knew & loved him. He could always make us all laugh, even while he was battling cancer. He was a reliable, giving & generous person. His big smile, his constant energy, & his over-the-top personality lightened up every room he entered. He never met a stranger. And now we must keep our beautiful memories of our individual experiences with him. May he rest in peace now & forever.

  9. Andre was my best friend, all the way from 6th grade through college. Early on we’d spend hours talking on the phone – our poor parents’ land line – and he always made me laugh. Several of his hilarious remarks are now standard inside jokes with my grown children. In later years we shared a passion for tearing apart cars so that we could sit for hours at Steak n Shake on one Coke. Perhaps our best times were when he learned to play bass guitar and we joined a band in Maplewood. We became the Intruders, had a hit record, a fan club (really!), 2 years of gigs and a lifetime of memories. Through it all we regularly “debriefed” on his front porch. After college I moved to California but Anj and I kept in touch, enjoyed periodic visits and frequent long phone talks. He said it all when he autographed a copy of our record to me – “Best friends always.” Adios, my friend.

  11. Andre and I met when I was in high school. He was dating my friend, Dyanne. Andre was in a local band at the time and I met all the band members at a record store singing of their first record. We remained friends through all those years and one thing Andre always said was “We’re Bestest Friends til the end”. That took on new meaning in the last year. I assured him we’d still be Bestest Friends in Heaven also. Andre was the most loyal friend. If he was your friend, he was your friend forever. That’s rare to find in our world. Andre was special in a myriad of ways.We had so many happy times together. Andre was Family to me, to my girls and my Grands. He was so kind to my Mom and took her riding in his racing car… she loved it! He was always quick with a joke and loved to laugh and enjoy life!! Andre loved new adventures. Andre had a heart of gold. He was a very strong Italian man but he had such a tender heart which he only revealed to those closest to him. He was very Patriotic, loved America and we shared a mutual love and desire for America to be the America we grew up in. Andre, I miss our talks already. I’ll see you in Heaven one day. God bless you!! Trin and Daren were the light of his life. His brother, Frank, was his best friend and brother. Andre was devoted to his Family. We all love and miss you so much, Andre❣ Love and hugs sent to my Bestest Friend always ❤

  13. These thoughts of Andre were delayed because I struggled with the choice of words to convey my feelings. From Grade School at Our Lady of Sorrows through all the years Andre was a dear friend. Now that he has come “full circle” to the OLS Church one last time, I will try to speak for him with these words from a Prayer Card: “I am home in Heaven, my dear ones.
    Oh so happy and so bright.
    There is perfect joy and beauty
    in this everlasting light.
    So you must not grieve so sorely,
    for I love you dearly still;
    Try to look beyond earth’s shadows
    and try to trust our Father’s will.
    All the pain and grief is over,
    every restless tossing passed;
    I am now at peace forever,
    safely home in Heaven at last.”
