Gerwitz-2

In Loving Memory

Gerwitz, Susan C. (Finkenbuerger)

Susan C (Finkenbuerger) Gerwitz age 67 passed away on the evening of February 11, 2022 at Saint Clair hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Susan was born to William and Dolores Finkenbuerger on March 14, 1954 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She graduated with the class of 1972 from Bayless Senior High school where she met the love of her life. Married in 1975, she spent 47 years with her lifetime partner, Donald “Don” Gerwitz. They raised their family in Fenton, and her pride and joy were her 2 sons.

Her interests were many. Weekly bingo games, bowling, hanging out with her Crü family, owning and managing the Witz Inn where she loved to play darts and hang out with friends and family, watch Cardinals baseball, travel, and read suspenseful thrillers.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Gerwitz, their boys Brian (Susan) and Kenny, a brother Wayne Finkenbuerger (Rose) and sister Laura Dean (Tom), cousins, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends who were dearly loved.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM with a brief service to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Backstoppers would be greatly appreciated.
