In Loving Memory

Hauck, Alda F.

Alda F Hauck (nee Yeast) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 99. She was the beloved wife of the late John Hauck for 57 years. A loving mother to Glenna Norman (Wayne Marty); dearest grandmother of Kathy Simon (Julie Trentmann), Dan Wilkinson (Lan Park) and Angie Wilkinson (Scooter Herndon); dear great-grandmother of Danny Wilkinson, Ben Simon, Emily (Kory) Wisdom, Arin Dorlac and Yena Kim. Her greatest joy was being blessed with Kali Ann Wisdom, making her a great-great-grandmother and the proud matriarch of 5 generations. She is also survived by her faithful companion, her dog, Lola. Alda was an aunt, great-aunt and friend.

Nanny was a sports fan and didn’t miss a Cardinals game on TV. She was very well read and when the library closed due to COVID, she mastered the use of a tablet! If she wasn’t reading, she was watching game shows, Animal Planet or playing Rummy. For many years, she played BINGO every Wednesday night with her dear friend Swano.

Nanny was very patriotic – the love for her country shows throughout her home of 61 years, with flags pasted in nearly every room. She was sharp as a tack with an amazing sense of humor and had the sweetest smile. She was selfless – she spent her entire life caring for her grandchildren – family was everything to her. Anyone who met her, adored her. Nanny is an inspiration and will forever be in our hearts.

SERVICES: Funeral at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Tuesday, December 29, 10:00 AM. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation Monday 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
