Age 89, Friday, November 16, 2018. Beloved husband of Doris Hohnstrater (nee Holmes) for over 50 years; dearest father of Kurt (Regina) and Chris (Laura) Hohnstrater; loving grandfather of Kaitlin, Sarah, Paige and Sean; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Graduate of Cleveland High School and Washington University. Proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. A women’s shoe designer with International Shoe Co., Town & Country Shoe Co. and retired from Brown Shoe Co. An avid golfer, fisherman and gardener.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Tuesday, November 20, 11 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society would be appreciated in his name. The family would  like to extend special thanks to Sunrise of Des Peres Caregivers and Kindred Hospice.  []
