Larry & Marty Deckelman
Bart was a great man who loved his family and friends. He fought hard through his illnesses and always acted like he was fine. He was a true friend to the police and always there for us all.
May he rest in peace !
Bart was a dear and trusted friend that I knew I could always count on to have my back. I’ll cherish the memories we made together, the ‘safety meetings’ at Sybergs and the shared disrespect we had for authority figures at work. I’ll never be able to fill the void his passing has left in my life and I’ll never stop missing him.
Godspeed little buddy.
Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to hear this. Prayers to the family 💖🙏🏼

One of my all time favorite people to deal with. Bart was one of the truly good guys in this world and will be missed by all.
Bart, I’ll miss the many laughs and fun we had my friend. Thanks for all you did for the police department.
Rest easy my friend.
Rest in peace Bart, my thoughts and prayers are with the family 🙏
Whenever I came into the garage to see Bart, I always left laughing. His sense of humor and ability to call it like he saw it will definitely be missed. He could always be counted on to humble anyone who needed it, no matter their title or position. Bart truly kept the county running. I’m sure he’s enjoying a cold one in heaven…he deserves it!
Bart,
You always took care of me anytime I came to the garage. My prayers go out to your family, you all have my deepest sympathies.

I only knew Bart from grade school. We were in the same classroom. I knew many of the Jekels. Jane Jekel was my 2nd grade teacher. So sorry for him and the family.
I always looked for Bart when I went over to the “main”. I loved his dry sense of humor and he always made me laugh. It was a great way to start my day. Deepest condolences to the family. Rest in peace Bart.
Bart.
That’s all that needs to be said. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him, knew who you were speaking of. I never walked away from Bart without laughing.
You will be missed, my friend! My condolences to all his family.
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
To say that I’m grateful God let me know Bart is an understatement. He had the best stories, the best laugh and some not so shabby car advice when I needed it. There was never a doubt how much he loved his family, especially the grandkids. He’ll forever be one of my favorites from the County.
Rest in Peace my Friend! I will miss our conversations and exchanging of jokes!!!
I will toast your name with my next adult beverage!
It was an honor to know you!
I knew him for over 25 yrs. He was one of the most honest people to walk this earth. Did not tolerate lackluster performance in the workplace. Not to be approached on Monday mornings. I shall miss you Sabu.
BART will be greatly missed everyday weather it’s talking over the fence who cuts grass first seeing who get the best garden or hearing whitey
Rip Bart Burris we meet again

I developed a relationship with Bart when I was tasked with calling the main garage to request a repair on one of our pool cars. I always got greeted with a “what is wrong now” followed by a laugh. To know Bart, was to love him! I offer my deepest condolences to family during this difficult time, he will truly be missed.
