In Loving Memory

Jones, Anthony Joseph Jr.

Anthony Joseph Jones Jr. was born on April 4, 1949 and passed on October 27, 2021. Tony graduated from St. Mary’s high school and UMSL before starting his career at Anheuser-Busch where he worked for over 30 years. Tony loved his work and the friends he made there. Tony was widower to Deborah Blatz and Jacqueline Wind. He married Carol Perry in 2011 – they later separated, but remained great friends. Tony always felt lucky to have met three amazing women in his life. Tony is survived by his extensive family and more extensive friends. He was giving, loyal, compassionate, and funny. The kind of person everyone wanted to be around. He loved traveling, hiking, and cheering for his favorite St. Louis sports teams.

A memorial visitation will be held at Kutis on Lemay Ferry on Friday 11/5 from 3pm – 7pm. A celebration of life will be held at Andres in Fenton on Saturday 11/6 from 11am – 3pm. All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Neil Jones at neiljones616@gmail.com

  1. As mentioned, Tony is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, an alumnus of the Class of 1967. On behalf of his classmates, the faculty, staff, and all the students at St. Mary’s High School, both past and present, we extend our most heartfelt sympathy to Tony’s family and friends.

Also know that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss. Special reference of condolences to Tony’s classmates (’67) as well as those students, who at one time or another, were either upper classmates or under classmates of his who walked the same hallways, shared the same classrooms, and maybe even participated in some of the same extra-curricular activities as Tony did, beginning from the time he enrolled as a Freshman in September of 1963 until the time he graduated as a Senior in June of 1967.

Although Tony is gone from this life, his spirit will forever remain here at 4701 South Grand on the Campus of St. Mary’s High School; and just as it was in life, prayers will continue to be said and masses will continue to be offered in his memory.

Lastly, never forget that whenever the Dragons from ’67 gather and talk turns to the days of auld lang syne, as it always does, Tony Jones will forever be included.

  3. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of Tony’s favorite nonprofit organizations: Our Little Haven. https://www.ourlittlehaven.org/product/donation/

Our Little Haven is relentlessly committed to providing early intervention services for children and families. Our community of professional caregivers create a safe, secure, and healing environment for those impacted by abuse, neglect, and mental or behavioral health needs. We make the hurting stop, the healing begin, and the love last one family at a time. Tony served on their Board of Directors and was committed ensuring they achieved their mission.
