In Loving Memory

Judge, Melford D.

July 1, 1948 - March 26, 2026

Melford D. Judge,

Mel passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.  He will be reunited with his soulmate, Sharon Joann Judge, for eternity.  His one true love.

Proud father of Annie Cashion (Frank) and Jim Judge (Joanne).  Insanely proud grandfather to his entire purpose for living, Matthew, Isabella, Molly, Sharon and his best buddy Frankie.

Beloved son of the late Marion and Olivia Judge.  Big brother to his favorite travel companion, Mary Knight (along with his lifelong friend, the late Warren Knight).  Little brother to the late Susan Judge.

Mel’s life was a full one.  Grandpa.  Husband.  Dad.  Mentor.  Coach.  Athlete.  Businessman.  Aquarist.  Bird hobbyist.  History buff.  Carpenter.  Muscle car enthusiast.  Music lover.  Fisherman.  OG.  If you were in his circle, you knew it.  A man who could have thrown in the towel a long time ago but taught us what really matters in this life instead.  It made us want families of our own, because he did it so well.  While we are sad to see him go, the lessons he taught us and keeps teaching us will guide us the rest of the way.

Services; Funeral from Kutis South County (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Tue. April 7th 9:30AM for 10AM Mass at Seven Holy Founders. Private interment at a later date. Visitation Mon. 4/6 from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, Masses or contributions to the World Bird Sanctuary can be made here.

Condolences

  1. He was an amazing friend and neighbor. Many good times shared around the table or fire pit, swapping words of wisdom, fishing stories and golf whoppers (or fish whoppers and golf stories). I miss Sharon and we’ll miss Mel. Loved them both and by extension all of his family. What an amazingly full life full of love!

  3. Condolences to my cousins Jim and Annie as well as their families and friends, Uncle Mel was more than an uncle, at times he was a good friend and a fine neighbor. I will always remember the talks we had across his fence line and across his dinner table as well as the good times we shared together. The holiday parties at Aunt Sharon and Uncle Mel’s house, the camping and fishing trips, the Seven Holy Founders School Picnics, and the sleep overs growing up with my cousins. Thanks again for letting me borrow the Mustang.

R.I.P Uncle Mel, you will be missed but not forgotten.

  4. Dear Jim and Annie, I have such fond memories of your dad. His voice still echoes in my head from the countless baseball and soccer games he helped coach me in. Whether he was giving me advice on what do if… or just yelling “way to go Denny”, I will never forget his positive vibe or the genuine joy he showed after I got hit or scored a goal. It was a privilege to have had him as a coach and role model. I can only imagine how great it was to have him as a dad and friend. My heart is heavy for the entire Judge family, I’m so sorry for your loss.
