  3. Dear Steve. Tim, and Dan – I’m so sorry about your Dad. My heart goes out to all of you! The only consolation is that he and Georgian are back together again. Blessings and peace be with each one of you, as I know he and your Mom were very special in your lives.

  9. Dan and the entire Kuczka family, I was so saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. He and I worked together at Killark for many years. His efforts in product development and later in Codes & Standards enabled changes to the US and Canadian electrical codes that literally changed the world. He accomplished these feats with his ever-calm demeanor yet continued persistence and perseverance. He was a great fellow employee but an even better person, whose love and commitment for his family were ever-present. I mourn with you in his passing but celebrate the life that he lived and the legacy that he leaves behind.

Your Dad was a helluva man, a great father, a wonderful husband, and just an outstanding human! I met Steve and Joe when I was in first grade. Somehow Steve and I were teamed up to do a science project. Joe was an electrical engineer and a genius who did the vast majority of about three science projects. We won awards on the first two and were disqualified on the last one as our work was considered well beyond our age!
Mr. Kuczka also coached us in baseball for several seasons. He was so kind and patient to me and all the players on our roster. He and Mr. Kennedy were my two all-time favorite baseball coaches.
Mr. Kuczka also took Steve and I over to Carlyle Lake to ski and have lots of fun in his ski boat. I believe that he may have taught me to ski. What a patient man!
Over the years I witnessed his love for his wife, his kids, and his grandkids. He loved each and everyone of you. I also know that he loved God and through his actions it was very clear to me that he was a man of great faith! I am sure that he did what he could to share his faith to all of you. I pray that if you have faith that it grows. If you do not I pray that the Holy Spirit plants it in you. Know that Joe Kuczka is alive in each of you. Incorporate his good qualities into your lives. I was so very blessed to know him!
