Kurt Charles Lohutko, 54, at Peace with God Sunday, December 22, 2024, after a 14-month battle with Lymphoma. He was surrounded by loved ones at his passing, including his beloved wife of 30 years, his children, his granddaughter, and his parents-in-law. Kurt is survived by his loving parents Conrad Lohutko and Sandra Lohutko (nee Moore), beloved wife Stephanie Lohutko (nee DeGuire), loving son Joshua Lohutko (fiancé Tiawna Johnson), beloved daughter Elizabeth (Drew) Yount, and cherished granddaughter Ophelia Yount. Kurt’s biggest regrets were not being able to see Ophelia grow up and not being able to meet Ophelia’s baby sister due in April.
Kurt is also survived by his brother Eric Lohutko, brother Matthew (Yuster) Lohutko, sister Karen (Steve) Trefts, sister Amy (Natalie) Wheeler, sister Janet (Bob) Blitz, and sister Sara (late Ernie Ahlborn) Lohutko. He is also survived by nieces Emily, Abby, Kelly, Molly; nephews Philip, Bradley, Dillan, Everett, Sullivan, and Rhodes; and great-niece Nora.
Kurt spent the majority of his working life as an insurance adjuster, first with Safeco Insurance, then moving into the independent adjusting world, working with many independent firms. Kurt’s attitude of honesty, fair play, reliability, and hard work made his a welcome fixture in that arena.
Kurt’s laid-back demeanor fooled many into thinking that he was a quiet person. As those who knew him the best can attest, his friendliness and sense of humor came through soon after he got to know you. Kurt loved his family more than anything and spent every moment that he could with his granddaughter. He will be greatly missed by all.

I truly miss my friend, Kurt. We spent so much time together in grade and high school, worked at summer camp together and were each other’s best man. We drifted apart, and didn’t keep in touch with each other, but my memories of him are always happy. I reached out him in September. I’m glad that I was able to communicate with him that last time before his passing. My heart felt condolences to his family. I will deeply miss you!
Conrad and Sandra,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May God comfort you and your family.
Condolences,
Betty Godair Fau
