Lois, “meemaw” was such a kind thoughtful lady. She will surely be missed but you only need look at each other to see her reflection in you.

  17. Diana and Family,

We are sorry for your loss. Lois was such a nice, genuine, religious, and personable lady. My father loved working with her at Young Sales. She was so kind and helpful to my father. Actually, he adored her, her work ethic, and her warm personality.

In fact, our entire family was blessed to have considered her a dear friend for the past 35 or so years. When we called Young Sales, it was often to talk to Lois just as much as my dad.

After she retired, we still kept in touch with her. She was so nice and generous to my head injured sister, Kelly. They often met to eat and talk.

I still laugh when I think of the initial rumors and thoughts at Young Sales when the office staff heard Lois and my dad were behind a cubicle wall giggling and talking silly. The rest of the office did not realize that my other sister, Peggy, brought her baby twins to Young Sales and was with Lois and my dad.

Please take comfort in knowing that your mom is now at peace in heaven. She will watch over her loved ones. She is probably talking to God now and getting things organized up there.

She was definitely loved by many and will be missed. May you be comforted by many wonderful memories of her.

Love, Jay, Joan, Claire and Ryan Smith

  19. Diana and Family,

I worked with Lois for many years and developed a relationship resembling mother and son. She always asked how my family and I were doing and to the point she knew my wife and kids by name and always asked when they were coming to the office next.

Lois was such Happy, Go Lucky person it was infectious. If you were having a down day, she could always talk through things with you and cheer you up to the point you could not remember why you were having a bad day. Never worried about the work she needed to accomplish but worried more about you and your health. She was also a funny soul, there were occasions when she would ask about our family plans for the weekend and I would explain all the activities our children were involved in and all the traveling involved with it. She would inquire about their activities even if she was not familiar with them and have a response or questions. At times, I would get tickled and have to explain, but she never lost interest.

I hope that you and your family knows there is a special place for Lois in Heaven which she will carry on just as she did here on Earth.

  23. Worked with Lois at Young for years. She was one of the most genuinely compassionate people I have ever known. She exhibited the Love of Christ and was being conformed into His image just as scripture describes the life of a True believer. She will be missed and it is sorrowful and yet cause for great celebration knowing her final destination! Prayers for the family
