  7. It’s so ironic that Steve passed away on Christmas Eve, because I don’t care what time of the year it was, he would drive by our house or call me on the phone and say merry Christmas every time we talked. Steve was our favorite neighbor, he was a great friend, the kindest person you would ever meet,
    We will miss him .
Denise and Emily so sorry for your loss, we enjoyed our time with him all these years as neighbors
    Love always Tim and Chris

  13. “God, love ya,” and many other memorable quips set the tone for the fun Steve injected into the offices of PLUSA, PEF, TCFEF & SBEF over the past 16-years. A great friend to all his co-workers and a persuasive, yet professional and respectful, collector to those customers who were tardy on their payments. Always available to catch up on an impromptu call (talked to him so much once while on the road once that I exited on the wrong highway ramp sending me an hour off course of my destination). We’ll certainly miss him! My deepest sympathies to the family. God bless you all.

  17. My Deepest condolences to Denise, Emily, Andrew, Lucy and the rest of your family. I just screamed when I heard the news I had just spoken to Denise and Steve was doing better she was so excited to be going to visit him on Christmas Day. Steve will be truly missed. I always enjoyed when he came to our office for his Dental Care, because I never knew which voice I would get as he was entering the building. The saddest part is that his very first granddaughter will not know what a wonderful grandfather she had. I pray God give you all piece during this time. Remember this is not our home we are just passing through. God Bless love Connie Jefferson

  19. Loving, caring, fantastic husband, father and pa pa AND hysterically funny! This is the Steve that we all knew and loved. Steve was generous to a fault… always wanting to pay for everyone & everything, generous with his time & help & generous with his love. I’ll never forget how he always told restaurant servers to watch us girls because we might steal the silverware. And, as your neighbor, Tim, mentioned, he always greeted you with or ended a call with “Merry Christmas”. Steve, you will be so deeply missed. Know that I will be there for Denie & Emmy for whatever they need, whether it be a shoulder to cry on or a sounding board. Denie & Emmy, there isn’t much that I can say to ease your grief, but, I’ll be here to do whatever I can. I love you!

  35. I never saw Steve in a bad or down mood. He was happy to see everyone. Always greeting everyone with a big “Good Morning” or a quick one liner. It was hard not to smile when you heard Steve’s voice.

  37. Dear Mrs Marler and Emily: I hope you remember me. I was Em’s Music teacher way back at Wedgwood; how many years ago? I never forgot the Marlers! I am so, so sorry to hear of Mr Marler’s passing. You have my most sincere sympathies. But please allow me to say that I saw Emily’s GORGEOUS wedding photo. Oh my goodness! All four of you (I’m including her officer husband Andrew) look like the pictures that come with a purchased frame. Just…wow! I can’t believe my little Emily is a married woman. I send you all so much love, and I ask God to send you strength and encouragement at this difficult time. Love always and with condolences, Mrs. (Angela) Anderson XOXO
