Vince Pic

In Loving Memory

Mazzola, Vincent James

February 12, 1951 - December 20, 2024

Vincent James Mazzola, 73, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024.

Born on February 12, 1951, in St. Louis, Vince was the son of Vincent F. and Vivian Mazzola (nee Columbo). After high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he developed a sense of duty, discipline, and loyalty that guided him throughout his life. His military service shaped the man he became: devoted, dedicated, and steadfast in all he did.

A son of Italian immigrants, Vince remained deeply connected to his roots. Whether grabbing a haircut, picking up bread or other goods to deliver to family and friends, or enjoying a meal on The Hill, his heritage was always at the heart of his identity.

In 1981, Vince met Judy, and the two married in 1990. Their 34 years of marriage were filled with love and devotion. Vince was a loving father to his two children and a caring stepfather to Judy’s two children. His unwavering commitment to his blended family defined him as a father and husband.

As a co-founder of a successful HVAC business, Vince’s work ethic and unique sense of humor earned him respect from clients and colleagues alike. When not working, he enjoyed spending weekends outdoors hunting or fishing, or performing service calls for family and friends.

Vince was a man of few words, but when he spoke, his honesty and directness were always evident. He had a no-nonsense approach to life, yet his heart was full of kindness and compassion. Beneath his tough exterior was a man who loved deeply, and his family and friends meant the world to him. He was a man with the roar of a lion, but the heart of a lamb.
Vince had a special love for animals, particularly dogs. He often found peace and joy in the quiet moments spent with furry companions. His bond with animals was a source of comfort throughout his life, especially his beloved Labrador, Ebony.

Vince is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judith Mazzola; sister, Renee (Dennis) Taylor; children, Vincent A. Mazzola and Natale (Art) Maurer; stepchildren, David (Amanda) Rocco and Gina (Brett) Monger; along with his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and Judy’s parents, Michael and Lorraine Longo.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.

  1. To Judy Renee Vince jr and Natalie , my deepest sympathies on Vince’s passing we did lots of hunting and fishing together in our younger years.
I last spoke to him at length at the passing of my sister in 2019 and we exchanged hearth info after both having had the surgery.
I know he will be missed greatly by all those that knew him. Try to keep his memory alive in your hearts.

  3. I first met Vince in 1964 as a 11 year old kid, new in Kirkwood. We had just moved here from Minnesota, and my 3 brothers and I had no friends. I believe we met Vince and Bobby at the firehouse almost right across the street on Bigbend Rd. They were welcoming to the new kids on the block. In no time were hunting the woods behind the firehouse for squirrels, rabbits, snakes and really back then, everything was game. Vince and Bobby taught us alot about life back then, mostly good but not always. Vince had a great laugh and a big heart. He was definitely a one of kind person that I was fortunate to have met. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. R.I.P. Vince.
Say hi to your folks and Bobby for the Hilleren boys.🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️

  5. Vince was a great guy who would do anything for his family and friends at the drop of a hat. I can’t even count how many times he helped my family out, usually after putting in a long day of work himself. He was “rough” on the outside but had a heart of gold. One of my favorite memories was him and I taking a “shot of whiskey” together in honor of our dads , not long after my mine had passed. I have many more, but he was really a great guy who will be missed by many.
