She came over to Manchester, England for my son’s 21st birthday and she and I went to London, saw the changing of The Guard at Buckingham Palace and visited l The Tower of London and all the wonderful places. Also other lovely places with my husband Roy. Will miss her Xmas card and her Facebook entries and the personal contact we had. Bless you Roberta. Will miss you so much. 7. You were like a second Mom and such a wonderful friend to so many who were blessed to work with you at St. Joe’s and St. Clare ER’s. You always had a smile and such a joyful laugh. I knew when we worked together things were going to be good! Thank you, Lord, for blessing our lives with this faith filled, God loving woman, who always made our lives better with her presence. And like Diana said, you can watch your Cards from the best seat in the house! Love you, Bert! May you be at rest now with Jesus.

  8. I’m sorry for your family’s loss. I was just speaking fondly about her yesterday to a coworker who knew her, too; what a pleasure she was to work with and what a kind, fun, sharing spirit she brought to St. Clare’s ER. Sorry to hear this news today.

  10. I had the pleasure of meeting Bert on a Cardinals spring training vacation in Florida a few years back. She became a customer at my automotive repair shop shortly after the spring training trip. I enjoyed helping her with her car repairs and grew to know her very well through conversations at my shop. Knowing she was a Cards fan, I asked her about her car’s license plate GMADUX, inferring Greg Maddox, a Cubbie from the past. She quickly squashed my thoughts and explained about the ducks and how they were an important part of her life. I will always remember Bert as a caring, loving woman who was a die hard Cards fan. Rest in peace Roberta.
