Niewald, Virginia Lee

Age 86, passed away on December 13, 2020.  Mrs. Niewald was a retired RN with the Fox C-6 District.

She is survived by her 4 children, Frances Jeanne Hummel, James (Claudia) Niewald, Janet (Tim) Eckhardt, John (Chris) Niewald; 7 grandchildren Nicole, Erin, Tim Herbert Niewald, Matthew and Billy Hummel, Gloria, Anna Niewald and great-grandson Riley Hummel. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Herbert Niewald. Also preceded in death by her parents Lee and Aline Grissom.

She loved and enjoyed being with her family, especially her grand and great-grandkids. She enjoyed family camping trips, reading and doing crossword and seek and find puzzles.

Services: A private service due to Covid-19 restrictions will be held at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY. Burial will be at JB National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Operation Smile. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis South County Funeral Home.  “’She loved and was greatly loved.”
