Sue Eagan Ohlendorf passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife for 54 beautiful years, a partnership built on deep love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Throughout her life, Sue poured her heart into her family and community. She was a tireless supporter of her children and grandchildren, never missing a game, swim practice, or school event. She especially loved coaching the children in volleyball and basketball, where her encouragement and enthusiasm shaped our children’s lives and other young lives both on and off the field.
An adventurous spirit, Sue found joy in travel. Whether it was a cross-country road trip or a spontaneous weekend getaway, she cherished every journey as an opportunity to explore new places. She especially enjoyed our family vacations, trips to Europe, Australia, Brazil and the Bahamas. Sue looked forward to spending our winters in Florida, as spending time on the beach was total enjoyment for her. She was always ready to go on a cruise which included cruises from London, England to Barcelona, Spain even cruising the bottom of the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River.
She will be remembered for her kindness, energy, and the way she made everyone happy. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. You might even have run into her at a casino or a 5-card poker tournament. Sue really enjoyed teaching people how to play Blackjack or any other casino card game.
She is survived by her loving husband Mark, beloved mother to Kevin (Pam) Ohlendorf, Amy (Darin) Eakle, Stacy (Todd) Hartzog, and Sarah. Loving Grandmother to Ben (Alexis), Abby (Christopher) Eric, Andrew, Lindsey, Paige, Shelby, TJ and Kara. Dear Great Grandmother to Regan. She will be deeply missed by all.
