Patrick, Sr., Gene Thomas

Patrick, Sr., Gene Thomas, of St. Louis entered into heaven peacefully at home on November 25, 2018 at 85 surrounded by family. Baptized by the Holy  Spirit. A loving and faithful  Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Married for 66 years to the late Mary Catherine Patrick (nee Beil). Son of his late parents Henry and Sophie  Pietrzak and loving brother of the late Eva Pietrzak, Mary Goodyear, Vicki Benedict, Stella Barunica, Joseph Patrick, Stanley Patrick, and Edward Patrick. Devoted Father of Mary (David) Stewart, Michelle (Dave)Wagner, Gene (Nancy) T. Patrick, Jr., Michael (Lorraine)Patrick and Joseph  (Angela)Patrick. Cherished Grandfather of Mitch McAllister, Danielle and Taylor Stewart, Josh and Ben Wagner, Denise, Theresa, Brandon, Macy and Whitney Patrick. Great-Grandfather of Brooklyn Bailey and Jane Wagner and a favorite Uncle, cousin and friend to many. Gene went to McKinley High School and worked at Miss Hulling’s then entered into the US Army, after his military service he worked for Hager Hinge, then 40 years as a Book Binder for Universal Printing Co., after retiring he was an Engineer for the St. Louis Zoo Railroad for 15 years. Gene has built two boats in his lifetime and loved building RC Airplanes, Boats, and Drones. His favorite hobby was anything his children were involved in.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Friday, November 30 at 10am.  Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, For those that wish, a memorial may be made in Gene’s name to the St. Louis, Zoo or Mercy South Hospice (SACF-giving.org).  Visitation Thursday 4-8pm.
