I work in activities at the nursing home Nancy resided at. Nancy was such a sweetheart. She had a great laugh and a great smile. She would always say hello to anybody that walked by. Nancy was one of my best residents and I loved her dearly. I have many fond memories of her. Nancy enjoyed many different activities including but not limited to arts and crafts, reading, being outside, church service, cooking club, parties, and outings. Two of her favorite activities was BINGO and musical entertainment. When she won BINGO she always picked her favorite kind of prize, a fig Newton bar. She loved those. When it came to musical entertainment she loved waving her hands and singing along. With the ice cream social, chocolate was her absolute favorite. In Nancy’s final days, I sat beside her, held her hand, read prayers to her, and told her everything would be okay and that there was nothing to be afraid of. I made sure she had pictures of Jesus (of which she owned quite a few) and pictures of her family on her bed side table. Nancy will be deeply missed and things won’t be the same without her. My deepest condolences to Larry, Linda, and the rest of Nancy’s family. She is in a better place with Howard who has been waiting for her for a long time. May Nancy’s memory be a blessing. May she Rest In Peace. Goodbye Nancy. It was a pleasure.
