September 3, 1943 - February 13, 2025

William C. Piel, 81 of St. Louis, Missouri peacefully passed away on February 13, 2025 surrounded by his wife, brother, children and grandson. He was the cherished and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He will live forever in our hearts and memories and he was loved and respected by all that knew him. Born on Sep 3, 1943 in St Louis, to mother CarrieAnn and father Joseph, Bill was the older brother to Richard. Bill was married to his wife Susan for 57 years and they loved to go to Cardinal baseball games, travel, and spend time with their three grand children. Bill, was a selfless and decorated Vietnam veteran and later served over 30 years in the MO Air National Guard. He also worked for Da-Com Corporation for 31 years retiring with many accolades and achievements from the company. Bill is survived by his wife, Susan ( Kemper), brother Rich, daughter Becky, son Jim, daughter-in-law Debbie (Gorla), and grandchildren Joshua, Nathan, Sarah. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Mar 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at Kutis Funeral Home – 10151 Gravois. Followed by Funeral service and mass, Monday, 3 Mar, 9:30 am at Seven Holy Founders Church. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks Memorial Cemetery immediately following Mass. All are welcome bring your best stories and favorite pictures. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.

  1. Dear Sue, Bill was a special friend and we are very sorry for your heartbreaking loss. Matt and I are grateful for the time we had with Bill when we visited with the two of you just a few short months ago. We’ll see you at the celebration of his life.
