  1. My little cousin Brian, I love you so much. I remember when we were little and I use to make you laugh so hard… And remember the sparkle rocks I always wanted to take some with me and you would get so mad.. I will never forget those times we shared. And you will always be with me in my heart. I love you forever. Your cousin Dani.

  5. Brian worked for me at the National Park Service. We all are heartbroken. He was wonderful to work with. I may have supervised him, but he became a friend. He loved his daughter so much. Always talking about their plans and fun times together. He will be missed by all of us here at the park. A good man gone too soon. Soar high my friend.

  7. Brian,
I honestly remember the day we met in kindergarten. I was scared, clinging to my mom and I did not want to go. I was seated next to you, and I made my first friend real friend. We carried that friendship for all the years to come. You became like a brother to me. You would do anything for anyone without hesitation. You had the heart and strength of a lion. A true hero! You will be dearly missed by so many! God speed and Rest In Peace! Love you brother! Your friend Schmitty.

  9. I submit my utmost condolences to the Pracht family and friends. I am a colleague of Brain’s that worked with him during his time with the National Park Service ( at Brown v. Board of Education NHS). I knew Brian to be a principled and thoughtful man. He had an unparalleled work ethic and a genuine personality that allowed him to speak from an authentic place any time he had something to say. We bonded most of fatherhood. Leah was and will always be cherished in Brian’s heart. She was on his mind when he was at work and he wanted the best for her. I value the time I was blessed to share with Brian and mourn with those who know him better than I did. May the memory of the man he worked to be every day of his life, be what gives us peace in his loss.

    Sincerely,

  13. Brian, my sweet nephew, you were my very first nephew. I remember the day you were born….. I was up at the hospital with my sister waiting anxiously for you to be born. You looked up at us with those little brown eyes. You were a beautiful baby. Oh how we had so much fun with those Pizza Hut nights we used to do every Friday, all of you kids loved it. And so did me and your mom. As the years went by and you grew, what a handsome strong man you had become. You will forever be missed and you will always be in my heart. This isn’t goodbye, until we meet again, I love you so much…. Aunt Cheryl.

  17. Brian, we worked together with the National Park Service. I remember the Saturday mornings we spent talking about the newest cooking appliance you bought and how you loved it. Also about your wayword cat who was the boss of your neighbourhood, how you made me laugh with your unique sense of humor. I will miss your face Brian, rest now my friend.

  19. This is such a hard loss. Brian was such a wonderful colleague for us at Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site. He was quiet and competent, had great ethics, was hard-working and often anticipated what we needed before we even asked. He was totally professional, always willing to support all his co-workers. But he shared the love he had for his daughter, for Justina, and for his family. I thank all of his family and friends for sharing Brian with us. My prayers are with you as you grieve.

  21. Oh, my this is so difficult!!! I, too, worked with Brian at Brown v. Board of Education and grew to love him as a friend and co-worker! The 3 Musketeers in the maintenance division were to be counted on for all things maintenance, cleanliness and a beautiful landscape! Never, was there anything out of place and Brian was such a big part of that team and I know they are missing him greatly!! The historic Monroe School building was in good hands with Brian’s watchful eye and talented hands. I loved talking and laughing with Brian when he would visit our office — yes, his daughter was the light of his life! We would also talk about the VA and the latest news as we were fellow veterans and he was very proud of that too. My prayers are with Brian’s loved ones left behind — I can’t imagine how hard this is.

We know your hearts are broken…as are ours on the loss of your sweet Brian. Those of us who aren’t family, loved having Brian in our lives. He was never obnoxious and always polite and honest. What a wonderful Son you reared. He will be forever missed and truly remembered with great love and respect.
