In Loving Memory

Ringwald, Sharon

February 25, 1947 - January 28, 2025

Sharon Ann Ringwald (nee Greminger), age 77 of Fenton, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  She was born on February 25, 1947 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Aloysius and Anna Greminger.  Sharon was raised in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri until she moved to Fenton, Missouri after marrying her beloved husband of 53 years.

Sharon was the devoted wife of Charles Ringwald, loving and caring mother of Steven (Staci) Ringwald and Amy (Tom) Burton, and proud grandmother to Colin, Madeline, and Ava Burton.  She is also survived by her brother Ron (Carol) Greminger, Chuck (Joyce) Greminger, and Jean (Rick) Joggerst.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Sharon was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Sharon was a devout Catholic and longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She enjoyed giving of her time to others.  Sharon was an active leader in the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Sacred Heart Home and School Organization when Steven and Amy were in school.  She also enjoyed volunteering through the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.  Sharon loved to cook and care for her family.  She enjoyed bringing her extended family together for the holidays.  One of Sharon’s joys in life was being the proud grandparent to her triplet grandbabies and she enjoyed attending their school activities and sporting events.  She was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, SLU Billikens basketball, and Mizzou football & basketball.  Sharon enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles and was an avid reader.

Visitation for Sharon will be at Kutis Affton Funeral Home (10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123) on Sunday, February 2nd from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.  The funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 3rd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Valley Park, Missouri (17 Ann Ave, Valley Park, MO 63088) at 11:30 am.  Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Sharon’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Disabled American Veterans.

  1. We met our freshman year in high school and became fast friends. Many memories were made during our 4 years of high school. I’ll be missing her smiling face everyday!! RIP Sharon!!
