Risk, Louis Anthony

In Memory of Louis Anthony Risk, Jr. Louis Anthony Risk, Jr., age 75, passed to eternal life on Monday December 9, 2024 after a 6-year battle with complications due to Parkinson’s Disease. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Dinah, along with his daughter Stacey and her husband Ken, son Brian and his wife Karrie. He was a loving Grandfather to Brooks, Ava, Dalton, Julie, and Alexis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandy, wife Mary Elaine, and their son Jason. Louis was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 26, 1949 to Louis and Dorothy Risk. He was the youngest child, with sisters Mary, Patricia, and Sandra. He lived in Arnold, MO from 1970 until Mary Elaine’s death in 1999, then he moved to Granite City, Illinois in 2002 with his wife Dinah, until his passing. He worked as a Liquor Wholesale Manager for over 30 years, where he met many of his life-long friends, until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed classic cars, music from the 50’s & 60’s, going fishing, playing Poker, and spending time with family and friends. He had a smile that would light up a room, and he didn’t know a stranger. To know him was to love him, and he will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be at St. Vincent’s Church, on Friday January 10th, 2025 at 9:15am. Mass will begin at 10:00am, and a Memorial Meal will immediately follow in the adjoining Reception Hall. – St. Vincent de Paul Church – 1408 S Tenth Street – St. Louis, MO 63104 Private Interment Service will follow at Saint Peter & Paul Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, please consider a contribution to St. Vincent’s Church.

  1. I knew Louie from St. Mary’s High School.
    Only from there.

    I never saw him again after high school graduation.

    But, I remember him.
    Because he was such a nice guy.
