John Rooney, Jr. born in Saint Louis, MO on December 3,1948 and died October 2, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Ann, their children Brogan Rooney, Killian Rooney and granddaughter Lejla. John is also survived by children from his first marriage Patrick Rooney, Megan Rooney (Jeff Albert), Brendan Rooney, and Colin Rooney, siblings Kathy Vogel (Terry), Mary Ann Haupt (Jim), Dan Rooney (Lynneece), Sara Sindelar (d. David), Michael Rooney, and Liz Millikan (Scott). He is preceded in death by his parents John Lawrence Rooney, Sr., and Kathryn (Kitty) Rooney of Saint Louis, Missouri. He was a friend to many especially those from the SLUH and law communities of Saint Louis, MO.

Memorial mass will be held at St. Justin the Martyr Church (11910 Eddie & Park Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126) on Friday, October 6, 2023, 1:00  p.m.  Memorial contributions in John’s memory may be made to: Rooney Breast Center 10050 Kennerly Road, Suite 1400, St. Louis 63128  KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE

  4. I was saddened to recently learn of John’s passing from a mutual friend. It was always a big deal for me when he and my next door neighbor, Tom Balazy, took the time to goof around with a little kid. Rest in Peace, John.
