Ruxlow

In Loving Memory

Ruxlow, Francis John III

August 31, 1962 - April 5, 2024

Francis John Ruxlow III was born on August 31st, 1962, and passed away on April 5th, 2024. John was born in St. Louis, and resided in St. Louis and Jefferson counties his entire life.

John was a proud graduate of Fox High School, Class of 1980. He also received his degree in religious studies from Missouri Baptist University and was a lifelong student with many degrees and certifications in his fields of expertise.

John lived his life to the fullest and was known to his friends, family, and acquaintances as a fun-loving, happy, kind, and generous soul. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Angie (and buying her jewelry), along with his extended family and his friends. John fostered his friendships carefully and kept in touch with friends from all of his stages of life. John loved spending time with his pets and any animal he met. He enjoyed singing, and spent his whole school career and much of his adult life in choirs. John also loved to listen to music. No one who knew John could escape his corny jokes and we loved him more for it.

John was preceeded in death by loving mother and father, Jeanne Ann Ruxlow and Francis Joseph Ruxlow, Jr; beloved nephew Scott Pisciotta; father-in-law Glenn Rook; and special pets Henry, Red, Trixie, and Lucy.

John leaves behind, most importantly, his wife of 25 years, Angela Ruxlow (nee Rook). He also leaves sisters Connie (Mike) and Ruth; mother-in-law, Rita Rook; brothers-in-law Jason (Larissa) and Ed (Stephanie); and beloved puppy Luna. John will be sorely missed by his great-nieces and nephews, Michaela, Tallulah, George, Elliott, Zachary, and David with whom he had a special relationship that was like a grandpa…but a little more fun. John also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and their spouses and children. We would like to mention other family members with which John had a special bond. They include nieces Becky (Charlie) and Amber (Chris), along with Mikayla and Danielle.

Memorial visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saturday, April 13, 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Please wear John’s favorite color, blue, or wear bright colors.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association, or the Go-Fund-Me to defray funeral expenses.

  1. John was part of group of folks that worked at Imo’s. We all became good friends and spent a lot of time together. We all spent many late nights after hanging out, watching movies and having a good time.

    Rest in peace, big man…
