Harold Siebert, beloved father and grandfather, of Herculaneum, Missouri and previously Fairview Heights, passed away December 16th, 2020.
He was born on July 29, 1940, in E. St. Louis to Herbert and Henrietta Siebert. He was in the Navy from 1957-1963. He married his wife of over 50 years, Frances Siebert (Broadway), on September 1, 1962. They had 2 sons and a daughter.
He worked for over 40 years at General Electric, first in St. Louis and later in Winchester, Virginia. He also returned to school and earned his bachelor’s degree from SIU Edwardsville.
After retiring from General Electric in 2000, He and Frances returned to the bistate area, moving from Virginia to Herculaneum, Missouri to be near his two grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor, who he enjoyed spoiling for several years at his new job as “Grandpa”.
He leaves behind a son, Andy (Yvonne) Siebert of Caseyville, a daughter, Dottie (Eric) Wainz of Imperial, Missouri, grandchildren Ryan and Taylor Wainz, a brother, Tom Siebert of St. Louis, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his oldest son, Harold (Butch), as well as his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
Due to Covid 19, a small memorial with immediate family will be held on 12/20 at Kutis Funeral Home in South County St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research would be greatly appreciated.
