Templeton, John F.

Templeton, John F. of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the age of 81 following a hard-fought battle with cancer.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John S. and Lois Templeton.

John graduated from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy (now Missouri S&T, Rolla) with a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering. He was a registered professional engineer with the state of Missouri. Over the course of his career, he worked for Olin Corporation in Alton, Illinois, Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Saint Louis, Missouri, and the Chrysler plant in Fenton, Missouri. Following his full-time career, he taught courses in circuits and other electrical topics at Vatterott for nearly a decade.

  1. Johnny was my double cousin and I always thought of him as my brother. Most of my childhood memories were shared with him.( except horseback riding!)

His family is his legacy and they all know how hard he fought to stay with them as long as he could.
Knowing he is now at peace with our family in Heaven gives me comfort.
    Love you Johnny.

  2. Johnny was my double cousin as well.
He was taken way too soon. 81 years old, almost 82, is still young now a days.
We will miss our cousin Johnny, but he is now with those who love him too!
Our family in Heaven has another member to welcome home! 😇

  3. God bless John and his loving family. My husband died of pancreatic cancer in February. It’s is a brutal disease. May John now be at rest, and may the peace of God descend on you as you walk through your grief. He is always there, even in the darkest moments. Know that friends I’m God at SunRise Church in Ofallon, Mo are praying for John and his family.

  5. John was my cousin but he was also my friend. He was a groomsman in our wedding. He was always so upbeat that he made you feel good just being with him. We stopped to see him in early November and even then he was his upbeat self. We knew how ill he was but hoped he could be with us longer. We are so saddened to just learn of John’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Rose and all his family.
