    • Thank you so much for your kind words. She had really hoped to make the 50th announcement, but it was not meant to be. She was so pleased that the Underwood Award was still being bestowed after 50 years.

  3. My deepest sympathy to Cathy, Dan, and the Underwood family and to Annabelle’s countless friends and admirers. Annabelle was the loveliest of ladies in every sense of the word and will be deeply missed. The world is a darker place without her in it, but the heavens are brighter. When I think of Annabelle, I will always smile and feel gratitude for having known her. She was so important to the Florissant Valley campus of St. Louis Community College in honoring faculty each year in the name of her beloved husband, David, and I pray they are now rejoicing in each other with joy and laughter.

One thing I believe your mother has joined her husband and they are in their heavenly home. As an Underwood winner at STLCC- Florissant Valley, I remember her smiling face and her kind and encouraging words to me. She calmed down my nervousness and made me feel so deserving of that esteemed award.
