  1. My sincere condolences to Dorothy and family. I worked with Ray at DCASR in the late 60’s, early 70’s. He was such a nice guy, always had a smile.

  2. Dear family – I knew Ray and his parents many years ago in Collinsville. I was very close to his cousin Henry keen . I spent much time with all of them at their homes. I did talk to Ray a few years ago and at time he said he was living in St Louis and still belonged to Holly Cross in Collinsville. I am 91 years old now and cant possibly get to Laclede to give you my condolences but I would very much like to talk to someone in the family about old times in Collinsville. You could reach me at 314-355-4711 or loho1@yahoo.com. Leave a message if I dont answer the phone. Thanks so much and I am so sorry for your loss.

  5. Dear Family: I met Ray when he and I were at the University of Illinois and joined the Beta Sigma Psi Fraternity seventy years ago. Naomi, my wife, and I lived in St. Louis from 1959 until 1969 and still maintain contact with others from Collinsville and the St. Louis metro area.. Ray’s funeral service provided the opportunity for us to learn much about the Chapel at Laclede Groves and its 106 year history even though we could not attend.. We attended the burial of another fraternity brother at Laurel Hills who died when serving our country almost sixty years ago.. A fraternity brother who lives In Belleville gave us the news of Ray’s passing. Our fraternity song is Cross, Heart and Rose and was written almost 100 years ago.

Del and Naomi Karmeier, Overland Park, Kansas.
