  1. My mother and I are so very sorry for your loss. Thanks for being the best neighbors that we could ask for over the course of two decades.

  2. We were married 48 years ago today, and Nic was our Best Man. The following June, my husband, Peter Shelton was Nic’s Best Man when he married Sue.
While we have remained friends, life gets busy. I regret that we did not spend more time together. We did, however, always had a group Valentines Dinner, close to the day, without fail❣️ That’s going to be a really tough holiday to get through, even though Sue pointed out that I wouldn’t have to put up with Nic’s snide comments. Still, it’s never going to be the same without Nic . RIP our dear friend, and try not to annoy the dearly departed too much❣️

  3. I have known Nic for 48 years since I met him at Pete and Karla‘s wedding. While we have not been in touch much the past few years, our paths would cross periodically. Sue, please accept my sympathy on Nic’s sudden death. Be assured of my prayers for all.

  4. I miss Nick very much, and probably always will because I look for him every time I step onto our deck. He was a great neighbor, very friendly, and always wanting to talk. I’m sorry we weren’t aware of the funeral until it was over. It saddens me that we weren’t able to tell him goodbye. He will be greatly missed by myself and all of my family. We miss you, Nick!

  5. Nic and I were pals back in the early – mid seventies, and had recently got back in touch with phone calls every week or so. He had left a message and when I called back I got the sad news. You never know when the last time will actually be the last time. I miss our phone calls.
I send my deepest sympathy to Sue and the boys.
