Doris Jane nee Milleville Woehr, was born on August 3, 1953, in Altamont, Illinois, passed away March 13, 2025. Doris was born in Altamont, Illinois to Louis Milleville and Mildred nee Beccue Milleville. On August 16, 1953 she was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont and on May 28, 1967 at Immanuel she confirmed her faith. Her confirmation verse was “I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,” John 15:5
She graduated from Altamont High School in 1971. She attended Lutheran School of Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri, graduating in 1974. She worked as a nurse at St. Louis Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri from 1974-2000 when she had to leave due to her health issues.
Doris was joined in marriage to Larry Woehr on November 5, 1983. They were blessed with two children, Kristin Woehr du Bruyn and Andrew Woehr. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family and watch Cardinals baseball
As a loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, Doris will be remembered for her kindness, patience, positive attitude, love and her unshakable faith in God. Doris was deeply loved and cherished by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Larry Woehr, her parents Louis and Mildred Milleville, her brother Larry Milleville of Effingham, IL and her sister-in-law Rea Crain of Madison, AL. Survivors include her children, Kristin (Hentus) du Bruyn, and Andrew (Elle) Woehr and her 2 precious grandsons Henrik and Alex du Bruyn. She is also survived by her siblings: Kenny (Judy) Milleville, Karen Dall, Tim (Deanna), Randy (Rosa) and Pat (wife of deceased Larry Milleville). She is further survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Leonard (of the last Rea nee Woehr Crain), Duane (Jonette) , Diane, and Vivian (Joe) Bollinger. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 3: 00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16th at Kutis Funeral Home South County. The funeral will take place at Peace Lutheran Church, 737 Barracksview Rd, St Louis, MO 63125. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with service to start at 10:30 a.m. with internment will take place, at a later date, in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
A luncheon will be provided in the gymnasium, after the service.
