Wood, Lowell M. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Shirley Mae Wood (nee Kiderlen); dear father of Lisa (Gene) Lynch, Paul (Juli) Wood and Vicki Korhammer (Dylan Pritchard); dear grandfather of Anna Korhammer, Tyler Wood, Sara Korhammer and the late Britni Wood; dear brother of Bobby (Juanita) Wood, Harry (the late Janet) Wood, Mae (the late Jim) Engelhard, Jim (Pat) Wood, the late Denver (Julia) Wood, Raymond (Goldie) Wood, Irvin (Cecelia) Wood, Virgil (Ruth) Wood, Marie (Leo) Johnson, Hascel (Laura) Wood, John Jr. (Sally) Wood, Jessie (Paul) (Johnson) Mericle and Delsie Lorien Wood. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Lowell was a World War II United States Navy Veteran.

Services: Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd.  Friday, November 4, 11:00 am to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for 11:30 am roadside service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to In Touch Ministries, Charles Stanley, P.O. Box 7900  Atlanta, GA 30357 appreciated.

  1. Aunt Shirley, Lisa, Paul and Vicki, our deepest sympathy to all of you, we are all going to miss Uncle Lowell. He was the sweetest man you would ever want to meet. He would be so reserved, then crack a little joke and the biggest smile would come across his face!
    God will give you the comfort you need, but know he is laying in the arms of Jesus.

  3. We only knew ‘Wood’ from the end of his driveway…. we, my dogs and I, walk every morning and asked if in doing so we could help Wood get his morning paper. He was a delight to speak with and appreciated all my dogs!!! Thank you for your bright conversations!
