Beloved husband of the late Carol Ann Young for 62 years. Fortified with the Sacrament of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Son of the late Beatrice T. and H. Milton Young. Beloved Father of Joseph (Pam) Young, John Young, Suzanne (Tim) Espy, Karen (Tim) Phillips, Mary Ann (Wayne) Schwab and Kathleen (Mike) Rysanek. Dear brother of the late Ann Marie (Raymond) Weiss, James (Delores) Young and William (Barb) Young.  Dear Brother in law of Daryl (Barbara) Hoefer and Donna (late Dell) James Grandfather to Jonathan, Stephanie, Sam, Brendan, Alex, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Amanda, Jack, Lexi, Gabby, Izzie, Jackie, Josh. Great Grandfather of 18. Brother-In-Law, Uncle and Friend to many.

John retired as Purchasing Manager for Borbein-Young Co and Medart, Inc. Member of the St Dominic Savio Ushers Guild. Member of McBride High School Alumni. Long Term Member of the Kirkwood Senior Softball League, playing three times a week. John used to like sitting under the “Tree of Knowledge” after a game with teammates to tell each other how good they used to be with a cold beer. 2021 STL Honor Flight Recipient.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 3-7. The Funeral Mass will be held at St Dominic Savio (St John Paul II) 7748 Mackenzie Rd. on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 1:00 pm. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donating to American Kidney Foundation or Masses preferred.
