Les was always known for his smile and lucky go spirit. He retired from Ameren after 37 years of service.
His life long love was to always support his family and help any he could.
In his spare time he loved all sports. He had the opportunity to play minor league baseball with the Yankees. After the minor league he came home and married his high school sweetheart.
They were lucky to have four beautiful children.
His love for sports continued with bowling and golf.
He played both sports well into his late seventies.
And lucky enough to get two hole-in-ones with golf.
Bowling his teams placed first many times and he had the high score for the league one year- 276; almost a perfect game.
He had a zest for life and lived it to its fullest.
He was blessed to come from a childhood home of loving parents and siblings who also shared the same zest of life and love of their families.
In later life he would always say to us:
Don’t worry – everything has a way of working out.
Nothing good ever happens after 11:00 pm.
Les will be missed but will always be remembered for his unconditional love, bright blue sparkling eyes and big smile to all he
