LaSheryl Ann Hackenwerth passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the age of 55 in her hometown of St. Louis, MO. Born on October 3, 1969, to the late Vivian Pippin and Roger Ziegler, LaSheryl’s vibrant spirit and creative spark touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Eric Hackenwerth; her sons, Josh (Rebecca) Espey and Justin (Ben) Orscheln; her stepdaughter, Ashleigh Hackenwerth; and her brother, Mike (Lorinda) Ziegler. LaSheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her stepdaughter, Ericca Hackenwerth, and her son, Jeff Espey.
LaSheryl’s legacy of joy and creativity will live on through her family, who cherished her witty humor and endless capacity for love. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Gathering will be planned for a later date.
