Frances Grassagliata Kiburz, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family.
Fran was born on April 5, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, where she spent her life deeply rooted in the community she called home. She worked in retail for many years and had a lifelong love of fashion, always taking pride in her appearance and style.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Kiburz Fleming and Craig (Monica) Kiburz. She was the former mother-in-law of Jim Fleming. Fran was a devoted and cherished grandmother to Christina Fleming, Sarah Fleming, and Carson Kiburz, whom she lovingly referred to as her “little angels.” Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. She was a dear sister of Carmen Luebbers, and the late Kay Pahic, Jo Goeke, and Connie Moore. She was also a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Fran will be remembered for her quiet strength, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family. Being surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing was a reflection of the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life.
Visitation will be held on January 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, Missouri, followed by funeral services and burial at Resurrection Cemetery. A luncheon will be held afterward to commemorate and celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
Fran will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.”
