Briseno

In Loving Memory

Briseno, Patricia Darlene (Jones)

August 23, 1948 - May 11, 2026

Patricia Darlene (Jones) Briseno was born on August 23, 1948 in Chicago, II to Vernon and Cleo Jones. Pat went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 11, 2026 in Arnold, Mo surrounded by her family.

Pat is survived by her daughters Allyson Prowell, Amy Briseno and son Aaron Briseno. She was adored and cherished by her grandchildren, Breeanna Cruz and husband Francisco Cruz, Austin Prowell, Maggie Wells and husband Gideon Wells, Anthony Prowell and Nora Briseno. She was preceded in death by her daughter Amanda (Briseno) Schwartz.

Pat’s life was filled with family, laughter, generosity and certainly adventure. When Pat crossed your path, you were definitely going to experience one or all of those characteristics.

Pat invested her time volunteering, teaching and her family. She volunteered in her community and the communities around her. She made sure to extend a helping hand when asked or if she saw there was a need.

Teaching was Pat’s calling and she made it her purpose. She was never a traditional or conventional teacher, but always one that would cater to her students’ needs. Pat instilled value and worth into others. She was a voice for many when they didn’t know what to say, then she encouraged them to make it their own. Teaching subjects in the classroom was her job, but reshaping a person’s future was her passion. Pat inspired her students and fellow teachers by the way she cared. She made sure that they mattered.

Pat spent the summers enjoying time at the beach, if you saw Pat with a pair of oversized, fancy sunglasses – you knew that she was ready for a vacation with her family – especially her grandkids. During the holidays and summers, there was never a dull moment with their Grandma around. They loved her free thinking attitude and adventurous nature. If her grandkids asked, they usually got it, without their parents approval most of the time. Pat also took time with each grandchild and got to know them individually. She would listen, give heartfelt advice and provide support. We will all cherish the amazing memories as a family.

Pat’s presence will definitely be missed, the memory of her will live on in all those she inspired.

In true fashion, Pat’s wishes are for the family to have a private celebration to gather, spend time together laughing and sharing stories.

In honor of Pat, the family is inviting those who wish to make a donation in her memory, a QR Code has been provided below. All donations will be used to purchase school supplies and provide for the needs of students in the Kingston School District. Pat’s belief was to always invest in others in hopes they will do the same. Service of Kutis South County Chapel.
